This goes out to those struggling with BPI. I never struggled emotionally, but I know that that is not the case for others. I was blessed to be how I am, pretty physically stable, and emotionally stable. For those who are losing sight of who they are, here is a reminder. This world is so short compared to what's coming. We don't have time to be sad; literally. Once you know who you are, nothing can touch you. Now I can say all of this, but without proof, I am not sure what it means to someone. Maybe a good friend once told you, "Hey, you are worth it" or "Don't worry, everything will be ok" but they really meant it. ...but you can't seem to understand why. How can they have so much confidence, where does their joy come from? That person, may or may not have had faith in Someone higher above them. Most usually do. I can only have this confidence from God, it has NOTHING to do with me. If I only ever listened to my own thoughts, I would make up a million excuses for why I am not good enough. That is from a dark voice, listen to that light voice inside of your head, just take it one day at a time, say to yourself, I can get up today, I can LOOK PAST my circumstances and NOT LET THEM DEF- INE ME. I know this is hard AT FIRST but it is the only way to live a joyous life. JESUS CHRIST Is HOPE. Not just for me. Or Christians, but for all. I am talking plain, because you need to know the truth. I know believing takes time, and thats fine. If it bothers you, just ignore the "religious" comments. But really its all love, not religion. *big hug to whoever is feeling less than who they are* | I am going through a difficult time right now, I may have to transfer colleges, but I do not feel like the world is ending (hehe). I always, ALWAYS have hope. I am sorry that life is how it is. I am sorry that others mistreat you, and that someone did not handle your delivery as they should have, or why your arm does not function how it should. But we all have our share of brokenness. We are all imperfect, this is an imperfect life. We are no more or less than someone else because of what our life looks like. If you are hurt by how others treat you, or how you treat yourself, then you need to change, not them. (Yes oppressors are not in the right and they need to change too) but in that moment, you need to change how you see. When asked, "What's wrong with the world?" G.K. Chesterton famously replied simply, "I am." We are usually our own worst enemies. We do not let ourselves grow because we are afraid. We let fear rule over our hope. I know you have hope somewhere, YOU JUST CANNOT SEE IT. I am going to use a little bible story now, just to prove a point ( I got this from someone else btw I am not so brilliant) ; ) When Jesus rose on the third day, his apostles did NOT RECOGNIZE HIM. His apostles!!! They talked to him, and even date dinner with him, but did not recognize him. They were so blinded by grief, and sadness that their Savior had died, that they were blind. They could not see His glory right in front of them! It is the same for us. We do not see the truth when we are overwhelmed by our problems. All we can see is darkness. But they recognized Him, when He broke the bread. So do not be blind. The truth of who you are is up to you to see. You are Loved (deeply) your are sooo important. I mean it. Everyone is meant to be where they are. Rain does not fall in one place as one big drop. It falls in millions of little drops to rejuvenate the whole span of the land. You are a drop! It is ok to feel alone or like you do not belong. But do not worry, you are SO IMPORTANT WHERE YOU ARE because that dry soil needs you to give it life! I put an interview with Lindsey Stirling, you know that pop violinist? Well, she has an awesome personality, if you dont wanna watch the whole video just skip around and listen to what draws your attention, its a confidence booster. I'm also putting up this song I discovered (I think yesterday) LOVE IT. Its called Bloom by Moriah Peters praying that everyone will someday see their worth. Night |
